Sarah and Michael had their wedding at Beaver Creek Resort in Vail Colorado last month. I flew up to Denver and took a short commute to Vail via the Colorado Mountain Express. The scenery was amazing and got only better once I was in Vail.

Sarah is a photographer here in the Dallas area as well and she gave me the opportunity to document the entire wedding experience from Engagement to the Day-After Session. The location was gorgeous, but what really made the wedding great were the people. Sarah and Michael invited their closest family and friends to this exceptional event in their lives and as an outsider; I could see the heart and the love behind everything.

When I was taking that portrait of Sarah and Michael in the field; I took some extra photos and stitched them together for my first panoramic wedding photo. I ran into some bumps along the way, but I don't think it's half bad for my first attempt.

Two things happened last weekend.

1. I went to Colorado to shoot a wedding in Vail
2. I got a Nikon 45mm Tilt/Shift Lens
Sooo...I went a little nuts with the Tilt/Shift lens. You can pick those pictures out because there is some blurring in them and it makes things look a little toyish. I think a photographer can definitely overdo it on this lens, but boy it's fun.

These are beautiful! I like how you blur out part of the photo and just focus on one aspect of it. That's cool.

I traveled to Vail Colorado this last weekend to shoot a wedding at Beaver Creek for a fellow photographer in the DFW area (Sarah Kate). I want to write more, but I will save that for the main post for this wedding. Let's just say it was an awesome experience and a photographer's dream come true. Here is an image from the wedding. More to come...

Carson and Sarah's wedding in Waco was awesome. Carson had his Dad as his best man and one of the largest bridal parties I have every seen. It was so much fun to see Carson's expression when Sarah walked into the church and then to see them interact during the Ceremony and Reception. I tried to capture as many of these little moments as I could for them.

Check out the Garter Toss. Carson put on quite the production of getting the garter. The funniest I have ever seen so far. :) Future grooms...take notes.
