I met Heather and Jeremy in Cedar Hill at the college where Jeremy coaches baseball. I was surprised that there were some pretty decent sized hills down there. Hence...Cedar Hill I guess.
It was very pretty and the evening light was fantastic for photography. They both love their dogs and really wanted some pictures of all four of them.

Amanda is a friend of a former client of mine and they both work at the same architecture firm in Dallas. It is always an honor to work with people who are friends of former clients.
Amanda and Ryan were up for anything despite the Dallas heat the other day. We drove around the Turtle Creek area for pictures and there are so many places to take great pictures there. The homes there are also very beautiful to look at. This particular area is just north of Al Biernat's Steakhouse (I think I spelled that right).

Renee and Thomas had their wedding and reception at Renee's aunt's home at White Rock Lake. It is a beautiful old home close to the lake and they had a huge tent with lights everywhere. It was a great wedding event for a couple that is so in love with one another.
I remember meeting them the first time and knowing that I really wanted to shoot their wedding. I loved the colors, the lighting, and the wonderful personalities of everyone there.

I volunteered a couple of weeks ago to take some photographs at the Allen Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. I didn't know anything about this fundraiser until I volunteered, but what they do is celebrate survivors of cancer by camping out and having fun for an entire night. During this event they do a lot of different things to raise awareness for cancer and rally the community around the cause.
The most striking part of this event was when the leader of a Boy Scouts Troupe gave a keynote speech about how when he was younger and was diagnosed with cancer; he was given a 20% chance of survival. As of the day of the event there was a boy in his troupe that was diagnosed with the same kind of cancer and given a 90% chance of survival. It shows the progress in cancer research over the course of one lifetime and is very uplifting. It also shows that the impact of donations and community support really does make progress and shows relatively quick results. I highly encourage everyone to support the American Cancer Society through donations as well as volunteering time.

Aren and Mark have been great clients from the beginning when we took the engagement photos and then I got to do Aren's bridals. It has been a wonderful experience for me. It was also an honor to be chosen to be the photographer for this great event because Aren's Dad is a graphic designer himself and really valued photography from beginning.

They had their wedding at St. Thomas Aquinas and their reception at Times Ten Cellar in Dallas, TX where they had a really laid back and fun social wedding with lots of wine and laughs. I also had the opportunity to learn about Times Ten Cellar and the owner who has a wonderful story about opening the place and getting into the wine business. I love success stories!
